Fundamentals of Yoga

Join us for Fundamentals of Yoga a five-week workshop series covering meditation, yogic breathing, postures and relaxation. We will focus on principles of breath, alignment and body awareness, making this series ideal for beginners as well as experienced students who wish to advance their practice by going “back to basics.”  By the end of the series, beginners will be able to confidently join any Hatha or vinyasa class at the St. Marks Yoga Center or safely begin a home practice of their own. Classes include:

Saturday, March 14 at 2pm: Intro to Yoga with Beatrix (Register for single class)

Saturday, March 21 at 2pm: Architecture of Posture with Beatrix (Register for single class)

Saturday, March 28 at 2pm: Pranayama with Ganeya (Register for single class)

Saturday, April 4 at 2pm: Training Attention by Turning Inward with Beatrix (Register for single class)

Saturday, April 11 at 2pm: Building a Sustainable Yoga Practice with Beatrix (Register for single class)
